If you’re looking for family activities for the holidays, look no further! We compiled twenty ideas that take little effort (or funds) to share together. From at-home activities to local activities, these twenty ideas will get your family in the festive mood in no time.
We have personally tried almost all of these and particularly love anything that includes lights, baking, or decorating. We love participating in the magic of the season and these ideas incorporate activities to make the most of the holiday without the consumerism.
The list of family activities can be downloaded here. Many of these ideas can be implemented right away, no need for special prep. If you’d like to do some of the bigger activities, start making plans now to attend before you miss any cut off dates.
We really enjoyed our time living in Belgium because it created many new holiday opportunities for us to get out and try new things, see new places, and try new traditions. We are classic Christ Christmas believers but we enjoy celebrating new holidays like St. Nicolas from Belgium. If your location doesn’t have all of the activities on the list, try and find similar swaps.
While the list is Christmas centered, it can be easily adapted for other holidays, events, or traditions around this time of year. For example, if you’re celebrating Hannukah, make a countdown for that day instead of Christmas.
Download your copy today and kick off December with a festive start. These family activities for the holidays are sure to please!
