4 Tips for Planning Your Hollywood Beach Day
First, there is not a tourist boardwalk along the entire beach. If that interests you, make sure you park by the boardwalk.
Second, there are actually a handful of rules for this beach…no dogs is the main rule. They also do not allow glass, scooters, or motorized vehicles on the beach or boardwalk.
Third, you can rent many items right on the beach and there are volleyball nets already set if you want to play. And if you’re like us and have forgotten something, there are many shops with beach supplies.
Fourth, there is a ton of parking nearby for a short walk to the ocean…like a block or less.
We stayed here for hours. The sand is smooth and groomed frequently and the water isn’t too rough right off the shore. My three kids were able to play without fear. They “body surfed” and made sand castles for almost three hours. There isn’t a lot of shade so bring an umbrella or use sunscreen.
We got parking just a block away and paid $12 for the entire time we stayed. We were easily able to carry our beach gear without needing a wagon.
My kids loved this beach day and it has become their top choice whenever we have beach day. I’ll definitely link in more beaches as we visit them, but so far Hollywood Beach is a top pick for our family.
